Miracle Marley is a gorgeous, sweet cognac brindle American Staffordshire Terrier pup, est. still under 2 years old and currently weighing 70+ pounds. Yep, he's a big boy with a big head and even bigger SMILE!! We named him after the legendary Bob Marley, who strove to end racism by putting love and good music out into the world. And similarly, our Marley works to end breedism just by putting his big head and kissy face out there. He's a people MAGNET!
Marley was stuck at the local shelter for the last 6+ months of xxxx, where he was a volunteer FAVE ? And thanks to the dedication of those shelter volunteers, this dog was able to survive that time locked in a cell. Even so, the stress of long confinement got to him, and he further damaged his existing ACL injuries resulting in his time running out at the shelter. Fortunately, after scrambling MADLY for an entire week, with the help of about 75 people!!!, we were able to save Marley and make him a Wagging Dog!!! Huzzah!
Thanks to generous contributions from dozens of people, Marley had surgery at Xmas to repair one of his two torn ACLs. Unfortunately he didn't make a full recovery and we learned that he needed a second surgery to repair a luxated patella on that same leg. Marley had his 2nd surgery on May 1st, and once he is fully healed from knee surgery, he will have his last ACL repair on the other leg. He's had a long road of medical care, but we're almost there!! Meanwhile, our beautiful boy is doing great, loving life, and happy to have one.
As Marley continues his medical rehabilitation, he is on the lookout for his Furever Family. He is looking for a home that does not have cats.
