Striking, Art Deco period, silverplated silverware set, "Heirloom Plate by Oneida Ltd." in the "Grenoble" pattern. This large, 66-piece set features the Art Deco "French Grille" style of service with enlongated handles, plus the original 'Tarnish-Proof Case." This well-made, wooden case features four finely crafted, finger-jointed corners, and a red velvet lining (which has retained its rich cherry-red color with very little wear over the last 75 years).

Condition: I am not an expert, but this 66-piece set looks to be all original (i.e., no re-plating), shows normal wear and some small scratches from normal use -- expected with items 75 years old -- and otherwise is in very good condition. All pieces are in "as found" condition and ready for maybe a little polishing to really shine!
The exception is the box, which does have some wet-glass-ring marks and several scratches. It also appears to be missing a small handle to lift open the lid, but is easily opened without it; and it does have all four of its original wooden feet. A little refinishing would make this box exceptionally nice, with its modern Art Deco style inlaid-wood pattern, featuring beautiful, exotic wood designs, and its four finger-jointed corner construction. The box's tarnish-proof design was "Tested and Approved by the Good Housekeeping Institute."
