Hi Everyone,
My name is Princess and I?m a darling little Bichon girl of five. My foster Dad says that I?m adorable, sweet, mellow, loving and content - and all that is perfection in a bichon!
Dad says to tell you that I get along well with furkids and other breeds - and that I have a very mellow and friendly personality. Dad says "to know me is to love me." Awww, thanks Dad! Basically, I'm a happy little girl who is easy to be around and wants to please.
Mom says I?m a very content and not anxious. Unlike some bichons I?m happy to hang out in a place of my own, just knowing that Mom and Dad are around. I don?t have to be in the same room ? just knowing I?m safe and loved is good enough. She also says I?m not a couch potato (why, Mom, I?m not a potato at all ? I?m a beautiful bichon!) but I do like hanging out on the back of the couch! Dad says I could stay there for hours? or until I hear the sound of the leash or someone preparing food in the kitchen!
When I became a FurKid I needed this operation so I would feel good again. My former parents couldn?t afford that operation so they had to give me up. It made us all very sad. But they wanted the best for me -- so they told me to be brave and have the operation so I would feel good again! And I do! So now I can learn to play. My doggy foster brother and I have this game called ?Run and Check?. I?m not quite as fast as he is - but boy! am I learning and trying!
There is one thing that I can do that Dad says that only the most clever bichons know how to do. You see I sit on my back legs with my front paws in front of me and do the ?bichon wave? (also called the pattycake.) I can sit there for quite some time looking so darn cute ? and waiting. Mom and Dad agree that I?m pretty irresistible ? and extremely well balanced! Then they take me on a walk or give me a treat (and I?m content once again!)
While I?m friendly and like people, I?m not a natural greeter. I need to know who new people are first. Once we?ve been introduced, I?m fine - but I?m cautious initially until I get to know them. Dad wants you to know that I am 100% housebroken, love to go for walks and rides in the car. Oh, and guess what? I?m also crate trained, making me a perfect addition to any home.
