Hey Hey! I'm Monkey :)
As you can see, I'm a cutie!! I look like a chichi pug mix in a snazzy black tricolor coat, and I was born around June xxxx. When I was about 9 months old, I was run over by a car :( Yeah, that sucked. I ended up at the local shelter where my x-rays showed a fractured femoral head (that's my hip, the left one) with a distal fracture as well. The Spirit Fund (http://www.sddac.com/donations.asp) paid for my surgeries at a local specialist, and since then I've been recovering in the most pawesome Wagging Dog Foster Home!
I have the cutest underbite :) I'm a good little doggie who's house broken, crate trained, and the star in my foster parents' eyes. I loves my foster fur brothers and sister, and we have fun playing and cuddling all day. I'm super affectionate and would love to keep your lap warm. I enjoy walks and being outside, and I hope to spend this summer with my Forever Family! I'm a pretty grounded dude even though I'm a puppy. My foster mom says I jump around like a little deer sometimes :) I can tell she thinks I'm pretty cute. The vet specialist noticed an old injury to my other hip (the one that was not run over by the car). He thinks I have a sacroiliac subluxation or an acetabular fracture that is no longer repairable via surgery. Who knows how that happened to me :( So my future people need to know that I will have arthritis and more than likely earlier than a normally unbroken doggie. Aside from arthritis later in life, however, I'm a happy go lucky, lively, super sweet puppy boy whose bags are packed and ready to move in. You would never even know I had such serious injuries before. I'll be sooooo excited when you come home - I guarantee an instant smile on your face =)
I'm neutered, current on vaccines and microchipped. An application, adoption fee, home visit and contract will be required. I can be adopted to a family in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside or San Diego counties, and I'm being fostered in SAN DIEGO - Vista.
