ADOPT DON'T SHOP: Adorable Pug/Chi Mix Available! in Carlsbad, California For Sale

Greetings! My name is Abuelita which means Little Grandma in Spanish, but you can call me Lita for short. I'm a senior tan chug lady (that's designer for Chihuahua Pug mix) who's about 10 years old, and I used to have a family at one time because they let me gain an extra pound or three. Then one weekend night around Thanksgiving :( they dumped me off at the local shelter, leaving me in the night drop - a cold, dark metal box outside the shelter - where I had to stay until the shelter workers came in the next day. Needless to say, I was pretty terrified at finding myself so suddenly in this predicament, and I showed my fear with bared teeth and growls. This in turn put me on the short list of dogs at risk of euthanasia, but luckily the Rescue Lady knew that I'd be one happy chuggie if she would just get me outta there!
So she did! Yippeeee!! Now I have the best foster home with loving people and a barky foster brother (who happens to be a Wagging Dog alum)!! It took me a whole whopping 5 minutes to come out of my shell, hold my tail up high again instead of tucked between my legs, and to shower my foster people with affection. I went to see Lady Vet and I'm on a diet now :) I'm feeling great and enjoying my new life!
My foster momma says I'm great with all other dogs of any size and shape, and same with people too. I love going on walks and have EXCELLENT leash manners! And I'm cat friendly. When my people stop, I stop too and wait patiently to get moving again. I love being rubbed and petted by pretty much anyone with a hand or foot :) and my foster momma says I do the cutest thing if you stop - I'll nudge your arm until you rub again & I lift my paw & turn on my side, as if to say, "Right here is where I would like you to rub :-) "
The Rescue Lady is looking for a nice, quiet home where I will be loved and cherished forevermore. She says if I had a lap to sit in all day, then I'd be in doggie paradise. I'm quiet, house broken and well mannered. A mellow doggie companion would be fine, but really I'm just all about my people. My furever home should have older children if any, because I've earned some peace and quiet for my golden years. If you're looking for the perfect little companion pet to keep your lap warm during these cold winter nights, then please let the Rescue Lady know so we can meet sometime soon! She says an application, adoption fee, home visit and contract will be required to make me a part of your family, and you must live in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside or San Diego Counties. I am being fostered in SAN DIEGO - Carlsbad.
There's nothing I'd like more for the summer than a loving home with responsible pet guardians who have kind, gentle hands to pet me.
